Subcategory Revenue Trends in AI Answers
Ask how a subcategory's revenue has changed over time, and compare hundreds of subcategories in one question. Until now these questions could only be answered a few subcategories at a time, and broad ones often ran too long to return.
What you can ask
- One subcategory over time: "Show me Dry Dog Food revenue by month" · "How has Area Rugs revenue changed over the last two years?"
- Rankings: "What are the top 25 subcategories by revenue so far this year?" · "Which subcategories grew the most month over month?"
- Hundreds at once: "Give me monthly revenue and units sold by subcategory for the 250 largest subcategories since January 2024"
- Side by side: "Compare monthly revenue for Area Rugs and Mattresses over the last two years"
- Rolled up: "Which main categories grew the most this year, and which subcategories drove it?"
Good to know
- Monthly figures are built exactly the way the Scope charts in the web app build them, splitting each week across the months its days fall in, so the numbers line up with what you see on screen.
- The most recent few weeks are still settling and are not included yet, so the newest month can stop a few days short of its end.
- Revenue and units can be totalled across months. Product counts are a point-in-time figure and should not be added up.
