Bug Fix
Discontinued Products in AI Answers Now Match the Website
AI answers now handle products SmartScout no longer tracks (archived or obsolete listings) the same way the website does, in every marketplace.
- Product counts match the brand page. Asking how many products a brand has counts only the products SmartScout currently tracks, so the answer agrees with the brand page and Custom Segment tiles. Before this fix, these counts could include discontinued listings and come out well above the website's number.
- Product lists show discontinued products the way the Products page does. They stay in the list with their current metrics blank, are marked "No longer tracked (Archived)" or "No longer tracked (Obsolete)", and sort to the bottom. They are never presented as products with zero sales.
- Ask about them directly. You can count or list the products a brand has that are no longer tracked.
- History still includes them. Revenue trends, buy box history, deals and ad spend keep discontinued products, the same as Scope on the website. Their history stops at the last week SmartScout tracked them, so it is not a drop to zero.
- The same treatment applies to buy box winners, "frequently bought together" competitor products, and product attribute breakdowns.
Available in all 12 marketplaces, in the AI Analyst and in AI assistants connected to SmartScout.
