Ask for a product's monthly revenue

Monthly revenue and unit questions used to get answered by rounding the underlying weekly data to its nearest calendar month and adding up whole weeks, which worked until a week straddled two months. A week that started in July and ended in August had its entire value counted in just one of them, and the other came up short. Now monthly figures get built the way SmartScout's own website already builds them: each week split across the days it actually covers, and a month is the sum of only the days landing inside it.

The split. A week ending August 3 runs from July 28 through August 3. Four of those days are in July, three are in August, so July gets 4/7 of that week's revenue and August gets the other 3/7. A month's total is the sum of every week's slice that lands inside it, not the sum of whichever whole weeks happen to end nearby.

Thin months. A month needs at least 4 weeks of contributing data before it's shown at all. Fall short of that, and the month is left out rather than displayed as a number that only covers part of it.

Also fixed. Average sales rank and average seller count were quietly floored instead of rounded, so a true average of 7.4 sellers always came back as 7. Both now compute a real average.

Weekly, quarterly, and year-over-year questions weren't touched. Only the monthly path moved.

The underlying data still lands weekly. A month that just cleared the 4-week bar can still be missing its last few days if the trailing week hasn't landed yet, so the most recent month is worth treating as provisional until a full cycle has passed.
